🧃 Hannah Allgood, who just won the Eiger 101, shared her nutrition plans for the race as well as what she actually ended up doing. Instagram post

⏱️ At Badwater, Todd Nott broke the Men’s 60-69 record that’s stood since 2012, crossing the line in 29:22:48. Instagram post
🤯 Also at Badwater, Harvey Lewis decided to run back to the start after finishing, effectively making for a 270 mile journey run. Instagram post
Races to watch this week
We have two UTMB races this week, with the KAT 100 being live streamed. If you haven’t seen a UTMB live stream before, you should check it out. It’s a great way to get pumped up for your long run, support the sport, pick up a few tips, and see a beautiful part of the world.

UltraRunning Magazine did a write up on Rachel Entrekin, an unsponsored athlete who entered the Cocodona 250 this year as her first ever 200+ mile race, never having used trekking poles, to go on and win the race.

🥵 Badwater 135 - the scorching hot race from Badwater Basin through Death Valley up to Whitney Portal. Shaun Burke of Durango, Colorado, a firefighter and relative unknown as he’s not on social media, took home the win in 23 hours and 29 minutes. Line Caliskaner of Norway was the first woman over the line, and also finished second overall in 27:36:27.

🗻 Crazy Mountain 100 - the only 100 mile race in Montana and Western States Qualifier. Men’s race: 1st Seth Swanson, 2nd Brandon Benefield, and 3rd Croom Beatty. Women’s: 1st Rachel Entrekin, 2nd Kyla Maher, and 3rd Liz Wigylus.

🔥 The Burning River 100M - the 3rd leg of the Midwest Grand Slam of Ultrarunning and Western States qualifier. Men’s race: 1st Heath Goshorn, 2nd Eric Linkemann, and 3rd Alec Cline. Women’s: 1st Brenda Johnson, 2nd Katherine Reigstad, and 3rd Meg Parke.
