Women dominate at Desert Solstice, Candice Burt and Kaci Lickteig return to racing with wins, Liz Myers caps off a standout year, Broken Arrow joins Golden Trail World Series, and more
I have been following the rise of women at the longer distances with wins at 200 miles, but now they are showing that even at "shorter" distances, they can compete for the overall podium. Amazing. I fell in "love" with Meg Eckhart at this year's 6 days in the dome. She is simply amazing, and if you look at the spread of the top three, that is REALLY close! Less than 1.5 miles between the three of them. Great article Ken!
It’s so close right?! I watched some of the livestream but missed the end (life calls as a dad of two toddlers after all), but I bet it was a blast to witness. Thanks for taking the time to share :)
So good! All the latest ultra news and updates in one place. This makes it so easy and quick to stay plugged into the culture of the sport. Thanks again for sharing my story! 🤠
Loved your story and so glad I found your substack! Thanks for your kind words about TUM. I started it because I wanted a single place to easily stay up to date without having to scroll instagram every day. Happy others are enjoying it :)
A fabulous trail and ultra digest. I really look forward to these!
Thanks for the kind words Mike!
Liz Myers is an absolute LEGEND!!!!! Every single goal she sets, she crushes! Love her podcast The Tribe of Runners!
What a year she’s had! I haven’t listened to her pod yet but followed and will add to my rotation :)
