The punishment for Sunseri being talked about is ridiculous and excessive, but I'd be much more inclined to take his side if he and Rienzie showed any remorse or humility whatsoever. Several people have gone on the record saying they told Sunseri not to take the closed trail, and I've seen the signage and it sure looks clearly and legally closed to me. Their attitude seems to be that Sunseri should be allowed to do whatever he wants because he's fast.
Hey Alex! Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I definitely don’t think I should be allowed to do whatever I want because I’m fast. Heck, I don’t even think I’m that fast! Plenty of guys that could do this thing faster.
I’m interested in who these people are that have gone on the record saying I asked for their advice on that trail. The only person that had anything negative to say was be Kelly Halpin. Otherwise, most mountaineers, runners, climbers, etc. that I’ve met here in the Tetons either didn’t care or use that trail. I mean heck, even Andy Anderson the previous record holder said he didn’t care!

great post! Finn on the Boulder Boys pod was an all time ep. Also, Hyperlyte has been making some smart moves on the marketing front with who they're sponsoring but promoting the product without trying it (even with the disclaimer) makes me a little suspicious of the authenticity of their strategy
